This laptop is out of position in the market for it's specs vs price = great value.
The fact that it has a decent 8 core processor, 16GB RAM and can play games surprisingly well is what made me re-check the price.
Of course, I had to have a look at some games to see what it is capable of. The game I was playing at the time was Left4Dead2 so I thought - that's probably exactly the sort of game I'd want to play on my laptop. It's quite old so its not too taxing, yet fun enough to warrant installing it.
I was very pleased to see that at 1080p and all graphics cranked to the max, I was getting around 70-80 FPS on average. Plenty good for a good ol' game of zombie shooting.
I ran it on UserBenchmark.com and found some success there too:
Gaming: 19%
Desktop: 83%
Workstation: 18%
I'm very happy with the laptop performance - so much so, I bought one for myself in the end. Want one?

Overall Rating: 68/100
(remember, this is against all computers in the wild, not just laptops - so I think this is great)Gaming: 19%
Desktop: 83%
Workstation: 18%
- Processor: 84.8% - Excellent
- Graphics: 12.2% - 'Surfboard' - Now this sounds bad, but that puts it somewhere just behind the desktop Ryzen 5 3400G's Vega 11 graphics as well as NVIDIA's GT 1030 graphics. Not bad at all really.
- Storage: 160% - Outstanding. The best component in the system - NVME speeds will make this laptop last a long time before it feels slow.
- Memory: 85% Excellent. This one was a nice surprise, I expected 2666Mhz but the memory is running at 3200MHz. Sweet!
